Winter 2019/2020 was not the best winter for off piste skiing. Temperature were just high above average almost constantly from December to February. But there where some unforgettable ski weekends. One of this was in mid February, where we passed 4 days in Disentis.
What I like most about Disentis is the fact that it is still quiet. Beside that Disentis offers all kind of terrain. Long runs with easy access, lots of couloirs and a vaste skitouring areas neabouring the ski resort. Considering that Disentis is just 1 hour by train from Andermatt and both are included in the same ski pass, it is obvious that this area in Central Switzerland shouldn't be missed as a freerider.
