Winter 2015/16 was really warm and huge part of the Alps had a huge lack of snow at least till beginning of February. Therefore the keyword for offpiste skiing was flexibility. Because there was one corner in the Alps where snow conditions were even great. And this corner was the western Swiss Alps! So this also explains why all my guided roadtrips ended up in Valais. On our first roadtrip we visited Andermatt, Lauchernalp in Lötschental, Zinal and then Grimentz.
